About Me

Pallavi

Pallavi was first introduced to meditation as a young child and began formal studies in spirituality, yoga, and meditation in 2004 at The Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania. Along with being trained in Buddhist mindfulness practice, she is also a certified Pranic healer. Since 2016 she has further explored meditation extensively through Dr. Tara Brach’s teachings and worked with people to treat stress, fear, anxiety, anger, depression, grief and trauma.

Pallavi understands the neuro scientific benefits of training the mind in Mindfulness, enabling her to teach from both a scientific and traditional Buddhist viewpoint. As an MBSR (Mindful Based Stress Reduction) program graduate, she incorporates the concept of resilience in her teaching. She is skilled in teaching both private clients and a group in mindfulness practice.

Pallavi uses various meditation techniques, along with breath awareness and relaxation to help people discover the immense compassion and love in them. This helps unlock their potential towards patience, mental clarity, and acceptance leading to awareness, contentment, and well-being. She works with each client, offering customized programs to meet their needs. This leads to a reduction in stress, increase in focus, productivity, clarity of thought, and happiness.

Pallavi has dedicated her life to her passion of helping people heal emotionally and developing a calm inner strength. She has been teaching meditation since 2005 to both children and adults. She is an avid listener, allowing insight to assess client’s needs and set appropriate therapeutic goals.

Pallavi uses her training to:

    • To listen actively with respect and compassion
    • To provide skills necessary to cultivate a Mindfulness practice that helps develop clarity of mind and empowers clients to recognize their strength and abilities.
    • To incorporate breathing and relaxation techniques, along with meditation practices to strengthen resilience and develop emotional well-being.
    • To integrate a nonjudgmental attitude that helps develop compassion and loving-kindness towards oneself and others by systematically leading clients to observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment.
    • To use meditation techniques to help clients contemplate on their thoughts, understand their unhealthy thought patterns and create new, positive ones that allow for healthier functioning.
    • To welcome new participants to Mindfulness & Meditation and guide those who want to deepen their practice.
